Autumn is awesome!!!
I hope you are having fun during these colourful months and here is what I have been up to this week – letter writing! We are finally settling in in our new home and I got to catch up with my post, yay! With that said, let’s see how you can make this wonderful autumny letter yourself! It is very therapeutic 🙂
What you need:
- glue – I like to use Liquitex gel medium
- old brush
All you need to do is apply a layer of glue onto your envelope, stick a dried leaf on, apply another thin layer of glue on top of the leaf, sprinkle with a bit of glitter and voila — done! Simple yet very effective and beautiful! Let it dry over night before writing your friend’s address on the envelope. I would not recommend using a heat tool because it will curl the leaf and possibly damage your envelope.
The best thing about sending a letter is that you can do whatever you like, there is no right or wrong! You can make these mini letter scrolls as seen in the picture above, use metallic pens, washi tape etc. Wax sealing is my personal favourite and I got mine fully customized here 🙂
Sending a teabag during these colder months is definitely a winner, it does not take too much space in your envelope, smells lovely and I guarantee you will cheer your friend up! There is a TON of inspiration on Pinterest, just don’t forget to credit people who came up with the idea!
Happy snail mailing!
Tell me about your favourite way to decorate an envelope!
