I am back with a brand new post today – it has been a few weeks since I last posted a blog post due to an unpredictable house moving and gotta tell you, I was missing you a lot! I hope you have been great and that you are ready to get back on track with me 😉 Have yourself a lovely cup of tea, sit back, relax, and let’s see what is new!
Every four months, I start a new notebook. As you know, I love my dotted Leuchtturm1917 BUT because I love the look of those beautiful vintage traveller’s notebooks, I went for a squared grid this time. Say hello to my new orange Leuchtturm!
On the first page, you can find the future log starting from September – I like to keep it simple and only decorated this page with a piece of washi tape.
Nelson & Cupid are our two westie dogs and the left page is dedicated to their appointments at the vets, worming due date, trimming, grooming etc.
On the right side, there is an Autumn is awesome page where I will be writing down any autumn activities we would like to do with our family or projects I would like to work on throughout these colder (cosy) months.
Do we have any birders here?? I kicked off 2017 with my binoculars watching birds as they were migrating and created a list – this year’s goal is to spot 200 birds! This is within one country only, so for me it is UK 😉 I got inspired when I watched the movie called The Big Year and this is definitely one of my very favourites!
Quotes to letter is a place where you can write down any quotes/notes while reading a book or listening to podcasts that you would like to have in a pretty handwriting/lettering later within your journaling pages. The photo you can see on the left side is printed out with an HP Sprocket.
Don’t you love this spread? The girl sticker is from Cassie @aurorasheart and it goes so well with this vintage theme for notes! You may be wondering what that brown colour around is – it is a Dylusions acrylic paint called Melted Chocolate and it is lightly spread over the edges with a blending tool. But you can also use a piece of sponge or felt. Don’t be afraid of experimenting with what you have in your house already!
Give joy is the perfect place to note any contributions that you made. You can also log in any ideas that might help other people. Anything that will simply spread the joy!
September setup starts with a monthly log, monthly goals divided into three categories (Business, Family & Home, Personal), blog/YouTube video uploads log, inspirational quote, monthly tasks and future plans.
Turning the page, you can find Happy inks written on a project life card and this is a monthly log for fountain pen inks that I like to change every month depending on the weather/season. When you look underneath the card, there is a monthly review broken down into four weeks and some space left below for a general monthly review in words.
On the opposite page, there is an empty space left for your monthly memories – you can be as creative as you like, use it as your gratitude page or draw some doodles here 🙂
And last but not least, weekly layouts! We have four weeks in the month of September and I came back to the old layout which works the best for me – personally, I think it’s perfect because you have workdays right at the top which is great for seeing your appointments/daily tasks straight away! Keeping the weekly goals in the middle helps to keep an eye on them daily making sure you are working on them. This month, I did not create our weekly trackers that are being uploaded to the Community library every month – I apologize for that, house moving took completely over. Instead, I sketched it out in the right corner and I am loving the simple look of it.
Because we are now in the middle of the month, I can share a some journaling pages with you too!
