Business bullet journal | 2017 setup

Starting a new business is challenging and very often, you can easily find yourself unorganized and all over the place. Gathering all of your business plans, accomplishments, ideas etc. is a great way to get yourself on track, move forward and stay on top of your game. Of course, this can apply to any area of your life, not only your own business but also your personal life, your job if you are happy with it and want to increase your performance, maybe get promoted etc. Today though, we are going to have a look at the business bullet journal Leuchtturm1917 Master Slim in Azure colour that I have set up for my ‘Between the steps’ business in order to take it to the next level.

When you open the book (which I like to call a Business Bible), you can find my name, Michaela, and the name of my business, Between the steps. I have used waterproof UniPin fine liners throughout the book because I would like to be able to paint over the titles with my favourite Koi watercolours if I choose to do so. After turning this first sheet, there are three Index pages that enable you to find your collections quickly so you don’t need to list through all of the pages when trying to find one particular spread.

I truly love how this 2017 calendar on the very first page turned out! For colouring the titles and leaves, I have used Tombow Dual brush pens no. 243, 245 from my pastel colors set.

Be someone who people want to get to know.

– Michaela Siroka

This is my own personal quote that I like to read and remind myself of who I want to become – there is always something to improve!

Plans & goals is a place for any future business goals, events that I plan etc. The shading of this title has been done with Tombow no. N89 – I love using this brush for shading and it sort of looks like a watermark when you write with the fine tip – it can barely be seen on the opposite page which is divided into four quarters of 2017. Can you spot the ‘Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4’ ? This quarterly view is where I will be logging what I have accomplished within 3 months. Keeping these two pages next to each other will help to see what I have planned and what I actually achieved so far. It isΒ  a great reality check.

Blog & YouTube channel statistics in detail – this is a yearly overview that I like to use a lot! This spread will be filled with numbers and help me to see what my audience wants and likes. It is very inspiring to see more and more people joining in and enjoying my work, and it pushes me to create even more for you and keep educating myself to be able to deliver the most helpful & useful content I possibly can.

Don’t you love this spread?? I do too! The doodles and colours are very cheerful indeed! The Statistic portion you can see above is for tracking all of the social media that you can find me on, plus our very own Community Newsletter & Facebook group members. Below, there is a small section for social media Earnings that I have at the moment – Amazon affiliates and YouTube revenue.
On the opposite page, there are Future business ideas and Plans & Possibilities – I tend to get a lot of ideas so this page will be a great place to keep them all together!

Marketing! Here will be tips on how I can attract more people to view my work, how to engage and interact with my audience, how to earn money, how to promote myself and others without violating any rules etc.
Get in touch with is a perfect way to assure that you are growing and moving forward whilst helping other people/companies to develop as well – these are going to be people that inspire me or a company that I would like to contact to discuss possible further business with etc. I keep this section in my personal bullet journal too! And To feature cannot be anything else but people I admire and would like to feature them in my blog post/video/social media. Next time, it could be you! πŸ˜‰

I like to keep my creative ideas in one place, that’s what What to create spread is for. I have mentioned before that I am planning on opening an Etsy shop – as a member of our Community, you can be sure, you will be the first to know when it’s launched πŸ˜‰ In the mean time, there are going to be product ideas, prices etc. within this page.

Posts & Videos ideas is self-explanatory, right? These are ideas for any posts or videos (or both) that could be worked on and published in future; and on the opposite page, we have Published calendar-view spread where I will be logging posts & videos that have already been published. This will be brilliant to refer to at the end of the year and see how much I have done!

Go Live is basically a guide for me on how to broadcast live – there will be steps written down in bullet points so anytime I will go live on social media and forget how to e.g. set the recording program, I can easily refer to this page.
And along with Go Live, there is Editing where I will note all of the key photoshop editing points, colours etc. I already have 2 pages like this in my personal planner and they have proven to be very helpful. Last but not least:
Between The Steps Community is YOUR very own page – anything you’d like to point out, any suggestions for future projects or how I can improve the Between the steps, anything along these lines will be written right here. I truly believe in team work and how two heads put together know more than only one – if there is anything you think will improve our blog/channel/Community, please, don’t hesitate to get in touch with me!
